Dink Lab

An exciting transformation that redefines the conventional sports retail experience, this project saw us convert a humble neighbourhood pro shop into the new flagship home of Dink Lab in the heart of Petaling Jaya. Designed as more than just a retail destination, the space seamlessly integrates a full-sized pickleball court within the store itself, allowing visitors to experience and test paddles in a real playing environment before making a purchase. This interactive approach brings the sport closer to the community while elevating the overall shopping journey. Challenging the norms of traditional sports retail design, our vision was to create a clean, futuristic environment where the products take centre stage. Inspired by the raw sophistication often seen in contemporary luxury retail, the space embraces a restrained material palette and architectural simplicity, allowing every product to be presented with clarity and purpose. Strategic accents of yellow weave throughout the store, creating a visual rhythm that guides movement and injects a sense of energy into the space. These subtle interventions not only enhance wayfinding but also reinforce the dynamic spirit of pickleball itself. The result is a flagship experience that feels fresh, immersive, and distinctly forward-thinking — a retail environment where sport, design, and community come together under one roof.
